# KLAIM Amsterdam — agent guide

> KLAIM Amsterdam is a streetwear and sneaker retailer with an online store and a physical shop at Kalverstraat 163, 1012 XB Amsterdam, Netherlands.

## When to use KLAIM

- Find streetwear, sneakers, slides and accessories sold by KLAIM, including Fear of God Essentials, Travis Scott, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro and the KLAIM own label.
- Compare a specific product's currently offered sizes, variants, availability and prices. Recheck the selected variant immediately before presenting a buying recommendation.
- Answer questions about visiting the Amsterdam shop, authenticity, shipping or returns using the linked current store pages and policies.
- Help a buyer discover items and hand off to Shopify's supported shopping flow. Get explicit buyer authorization before purchase or payment.

## Start here

- [KLAIM developer documentation](https://klaimamsterdam.com/developers): quickstart, authentication, errors, testing and API references.
- [KLAIM OpenAPI document](https://klaimamsterdam.com/openapi.json): existing public HTTP endpoints and typed request/response schemas.
- [Native agent instructions](https://klaimamsterdam.com/agents.md): Shopify's current shopping and buyer-approval requirements.
- [UCP discovery profile](https://klaimamsterdam.com/.well-known/ucp): authoritative service endpoints, capabilities and protocol versions.
- [Public sitemap](https://klaimamsterdam.com/sitemap.xml): product and information URLs.

## How to call

1. GET `https://klaimamsterdam.com/.well-known/ucp` and discover the advertised MCP service endpoint. Do not assume that its hostname matches the storefront hostname.
2. Initialize MCP over Streamable HTTP, then call `tools/list`. Use the current tool schemas rather than a stale copy.
3. For a product with a known handle, GET `https://klaimamsterdam.com/products/{handle}.js`. This public read needs no KLAIM API key. Amounts are integers in Shopify's price representation; for the default EUR storefront, 6700 means EUR 67.00. Confirm buyer currency through supported UCP context.
4. Shopping tools require a valid public UCP agent profile in `meta.ucp-agent.profile`, the appropriate agent identification, and buyer context. Follow [Shopify's authentication requirements](https://shopify.dev/docs/agents/profiles/auth-and-rate-limiting).
5. On `429`, respect `Retry-After` and back off. On an MCP error, inspect `error.code`, `error.message` and `error.data`; follow any required handoff URL. An HTTP 200 can contain a JSON-RPC error.

## Permissions and limitations

Public catalog reads and service discovery do not grant access to customer accounts or private orders. KLAIM does not issue a separate developer API key or implement a custom OAuth server. The OpenAPI document declares Shopify's documented provider client-credentials flow and the named `read_global_api_catalog_search` and `read_global_api_orders` scopes. Shopify issues and enforces the actual grants. The order scope is required for supported order reads; request only permissions needed for the buyer's task. Never use a Shopify Admin token in a public agent or browser.

Use the supported Shop skill or UCP tools for shopping actions. Do not script checkout forms or infer purchase approval. If a tool requires buyer review or cannot complete an action, hand off to the buyer. Do not promise stock, delivery dates, discounts or a completed payment from catalog data alone.

KLAIM sells physical products. It has no software subscription pricing or KLAIM-hosted synthetic checkout sandbox. Public discovery is free to read; purchases cost the live item price plus any checkout charges. Use [mock.shop](https://mock.shop) for disconnected Shopify Storefront GraphQL examples; it is not a KLAIM UCP or stock sandbox. A KLAIM storefront cart or checkout is a real commerce operation.

## Client tools

[Shopify UCP CLI](https://shopify.dev/docs/agents/get-started/authentication) is the platform's supported CLI (`npm install -g @shopify/ucp-cli`). A small KLAIM read-only reference client is available from the developer page. It supports discovery, tool listing and product lookup; it is not published to npm.
